SMI Ice Cream Man

For more than six decades, the familiar ice-cream man had been bringing smiles and joy to thousands of Michaelians with his varieties of goodies. That man of few words and his knack for orderliness in arranging the ice-cream, has stopped selling two months ago. His absence has raised many questions among us. What has happened to him? Why did he stop selling? Is he still in Malaysia? Will he be back?

We will return with his story...

I still remember my first purchase on the first day of school in Std 1 (1982) was the ice cream. I can't imagine he would still be selling to this date. Maybe it was his son who took over.

Dear Ed,
It was a long time. I will be updating visitors of this blog soon. Got all the details about this versatile man. Now waiting for some pictures of him. Brother Matthew is going through his collection. Cheers from SMI. Feel free to come over. I can be reached at peterkhiew@gmail.com

I'm really eager to know what's happened to him. I may not have frequented his stall very much, but he's certainly memorable in some way.

I always thought of him as a short-tempered man, and as such view him as being an unfriendly person. Nevertheless, would love to have updates about him!

Guys,
I was there from 1977 to 1987 as a student in SMI and now my son is studying. Many months back I was in the canteen as what we called it those days and I spoke to him. Later after a month or so I came to know that he was back to India.
