Teachers' Day Celebration Do At St Michael's

The day is slated for Friday, 23 May 2008 at 7.20am.

Myriad of activities have been planned. Among which are presentations by the Michaelian Chinese Orchestra members, a poem recital, a contemporary dance and a showcase of the silambam, a traditional Dravidian martial art based on stick fighting.

This style supposedly originates from the Kurinji Hills in present day Kerala, 5,000 years ago, where natives used bamboo staves to defend themselves against wild animals.

Our 02 Kinta scouts have been toiling for days to construct a tower for the teachers, a gesture which has been a tradition of sorts to remember their fellows teachers, far and near. The teachers' call of duty is made more significant-with students like you, yes, the fellow Michaelians.
