Brother Anthony Rogers Is Now Sector Leader For Malaysia

Brother Anthony Rogers has been appointed as Sector Leader for Malaysia effective May 15, 2011. 
A statement from Brother Anthony indicates that on this day   Brother Vicar General; Brother Thomas Johnson will officially launch the new Lasallian East Asia District (LEAD) in Singapore on behalf of Brother Superior General. 
"This day will also see the restructuring of the District of Penang, currently made up of Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong/China that will become part of the larger Lasallian Family together with Japan, the Philippines, Thailand and Myanmar," he said.

"We will thus become the latest District in the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools’, within the Pacific–Asia Region, together with three other Districts and a Delegation," said Brother Anthony, adding that LEAD with its seven Sectors, will be led by a Sector Leader
The new leadership roles and responsibilities in LEAD and the seven Sectors is an integral part of our restructuring processes. These have been incorporated in the newly approved Statutes of LEAD.
"We have decided that the Sector Leader in Malaysia shall be known as Brother Director for Malaysia and whatever is appropriate, as a legal entity and as an “Incorporated Body” under the Laws of Malaysia and our Instrument of Government for the Christian Brothers Schools under the Education Act of Malaysia, " he said.
Brother Anthony said that the official launching of LEAD in Malaysia will be on Saturday, the 21stof May 2011 in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. "We will keep you informed on further details of both the events in Singapore on the 15th May and also our special event on the 21st May 2011."
