Michaelian Spirit Prevails...

St Michael's Institution, Ipoh continues to captivate all of us with its history, its design and its rich tradition. It continues to inspire countless people young and old for generations.
Michaelians today - full of energy, aspirations and dreams. We help them realise their goals - Harnessing Potential, Nurturing Character.
The SMI scouts, all these years, have built countless of mangrove towers and structures to commemorate various anniversaries and events. This one, facing the school building, is another creation by our 02 Kinta scouts.
Principal Mdm Chan Nyook Ying presenting a gift to the speaker from the district health office who briefed the students on the danger of aedes mosquitoes. Looking on is En Jaafar, senior assistant of Student Affairs.
Looking neat and smart - members of the Kadet Remaja Sekolah (KRS) in their full attire, getting ready for a photo shoot with their adviser Ustaz Suhaimi.
Old Michaelians Class of 80' - From right:  Thomas Wong, Loo Wai Kuan,  Simon Lai, Kok Min Chong and Leong Chun Hor. It was a walk down memory lane for the old boys. Thomas currently serves actively in the PIBG.
Mingling harmoniously - members of the kompang group and Wushu interact before the arrival of the entourage from the SMI Alumni Klang Valley on June 19, 2015.
Led by Mr Michael Lip, the group was greeted on arrival by Brother Vincent Corkery, principal Mdm Chan and the school administrators.
Besides the Chinese drums and kompang, the SMI Alumni members were also entertained by members of the Michaelian Military Band.
PIBG chairman Mr Joseph Michael Lee receiving a cheque of RM15,000 from the SMI Alumni, an amount to be distributed equally among 75 financially-challenged students.
One for the album - thanking the old boys for their splendid display of generosity.
Another busy year with so much support from parents, old boys and well-wishers. In weeks to come, the school is looking forward to more exciting events. Till now, cheers from Peter Khiew..
